Project Aim

Vivacom Regional Grant is a socially responsible initiative that supports the development of the regions through grant funding of projects of civil society organizations aimed at local communities. The project was launched in 2015. It is based on the idea of an equal start and the results that leave a lasting impression on the progress of the regions, and hence - the whole country. Vivacom Regional Grant supports financially and logistically socially significant causes of civil society organizations that have innovative ideas for solving important problems for local communities in small and large settlements. The aim is, by encouraging creativity, good ideas and their implementation in places, the company to stimulate sustainable and positive development of local communities.

Project Target Group

Vivacom Regional Grant is aimed at supporting local communities in small and large settlements in the country. The target groups are reached through gratuitous financing of projects of civil society organizations aimed at solving socially significant problems and initiatives useful for the community, involving the local communities themselves. Beneficiaries are: non-profit legal entities, community centers and boards of trustees of schools and kindergartens, registered as non-profit organization

Project Duration

Vivacom's socially responsible policy relies on long-term and sustainable initiatives in areas important to society, its well-being and development - education, ecology, volunteering, healthcare, art and more. Vivacom Regional Grant follows this policy of the company, and over the years thru the Program we have supported initiatives for local communities in various fields. The program is annual, and its 7th edition is currently underway.

Project Activities

Each campaign includes at least 4 events. In the six editions, 22 public events, jury meetings and community meetings of the Regional Grant, numbering 77 NGOs, were organized. The participants in all meetings are over 700 people. The online event for the opening of the sixth edition gathered more than 50 people in Zoom, and the live broadcast on Facebook reached more than 100 viewers - representatives of civil society organizations and the media. After the competition stage, the projects were evaluated by a 5-member jury at a pre-determined jury meeting. In March 2021, the 14 new finalists were honored during an online workshop. Vivacom not only provides financial support, but also helps to develop the finalists, creates conditions for the cohesion of organizations as a community through meetings and trainings. At the community meeting in April, BCNL presented the most current legislative topics for the NGO sector and what steps they need to take to effectively implement their projects in the context of restrictive measures. Project Results

The results of the sixth edition 2020-2021 are 14 projects aimed at the districts of Ruse, Debelets, Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Harmanli, Belene, Stara Zagora, Kavarna and Momchilgrad with a total value of BGN 69421. They include various initiatives for people from vulnerable groups in community, theatrical, festival and interactive local events, digital education, reading books, environmental protection, cleaning and recycling waste, promoting little-known areas and other ways to deal with current issues. In addition to the concrete results for the introduction of good practices, the participation in the Regional Grant enables the organizations to create strategic partnerships with business, institutions and other organizations, ensuring the sustainability of the supported initiatives.
