The Anglo-American School of Sofia (AAS) is a diverse and friendly school which provides a vibrant high quality education preparing students to be responsible global citizens and lifelong learners.
Established in 1967, AAS serves the international community in Sofia. We now have more than 550 students, aged 4 to 18, from more than 50 countries. Around 30 % of our students are Bulgarian. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC). AAS is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School. Our graduates earn a 100% pass rate at the IB Diploma examinations and gain acceptance to top-quality universities around the world, including Harvard and Cambridge.
Education at the Anglo-American School of Sofia is viewed as more than acquisition of knowledge. The curriculum is based on the best practices of American, British and international education. The Language of instruction is English. Foreign languages taught include Bulgarian, French, and Spanish.A rich variety of co-curricular activities are also available throughout the school year.

To further support opportunities for young people within our host country in 2007 the Anglo-American School of Sofia initiated a scholarship program for academically talented Bulgarian children. Since then, our scholars have been among the most successful students at the school.
