On May 28, 2007 a Youth Job Fair for last year high-school students from specialized municipal social institutions will be organized with the support of the President Georgi Parvanov. The event will take place from 14:00 until 15:00 in Residence Boyana with the goal to provide additional social, educational and job opportunities to the young people without parents.
During the Youth Job Fair representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy will present the State programs supporting the appropriate professional, social and personal realization of the young people in an underprivileged situation.
About 20 universities and colleges will take part at the event as well. The Presidency and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy have joined their efforts in stimulating the further education and career development of these young people. Among the plans is the provision of free higher education and also traineeships for up to 3 months at a particular employer's office have been planed. The National Employment Agency covers the salary and all other social and health expenses of the youngsters. The employers are also stimulated to hire these young people for not less than 24 months and in this case the agency will cover the expenses and salary for the first one year.
All BBLF members are welcome to take part in the Youth Job Fair with a stand of the company or organization.
