BBLF opened the new business season with a stylish Meet BBLF Success event at Hilton Sofia – the prominent hotel in the heart of the city and a leader in sustainable policies on a global scale. The visit on September 12 was highly popular: more than 50 representatives of BBLF member companies attended getting to know more about Hilton's concept of "hospitality with purpose" and the accommodation, event, and entertainment options. Levon Hampartzoumian, BBLF Vice Presidentopened the event by pointing out that it primarily aims to provide a platform for sharing, promoting, and spreading best practice in support of people and the planet.
Stephan Reiter, Hilton Sofia General Manager, welcomed guests and introduced them to Travel With Purpose, Hilton's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to drive responsible travel and tourism worldwide.
Dorina Mitova, HR Director, presented Hilton’s inclusive career opportunities and talent development. These are part of an overall strategy to make a positive impact on society, which, in addition to ensuring the well-being of employees and guests, also guarantees targeted support for local communities through a number of initiatives, she said.
Emili Antova, Events Manager, focused on Hilton’s sustainable travel solutions making it the first major hospitality company to require sustainability measurements as a brand standard.
Marina Vrechkova, Assistant Director of Sales, focused on Hilton’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprintby various tools including carbon neutral events. When a client takes advantage of this opportunity for an event, they get a certificate reflecting the amount of carbon dioxide neutralised.
Gemma Carlassara, Hilton Sofia’s new Executive Chef, presented the company’s policies of sourcing seasonal food from local suppliers and minimising food waste.
