Members of the Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum met with British Ambassador Nathaniel Copsey on 21 February in Sofia.
BBLFPresident Levon Hampartzoumian, Vice President Anton Panayotov, long-time Board member and former ChairMaxim Behar, Financial Controller Gilbert McColl and Executive Director Georgi Ruitchevattended the meeting. They extended a formal invitation to H. Exc. Nathaniel Copsey to become a diplomatic partner at the upcoming 9th Annual Meeting of BBLF with foreign diplomats.
Ambassador Copsey confirmed his commitment: he will have a keynote speech on ways to make Bulgaria an even better place for investment and business.
BBLF’s annual meetingwith foreign ambassadors has been held since 2016 to provide a platform for open dialogue between businesses and ambassadors of this country's main partners on the key measures and steps needed to attract investors, foster economic development and social welfare. The discussion traditionally includes members of the government and high-ranking representatives
This is not the first time that the British Ambassador in Sofia is a partner of the event: Ambassador Emma Hopkins co-hosted the first, pilot edition of the initiative in 2016.
The 9th meeting of BBLF’s responsible business community with the diplomatic corps is planned for June 2026 and is expected to attract owners and top executives of the most active BBLF member companies, as well as representatives of over 20 embassies.
