Assen Vassilev, Minister of Finance was the guest speaker of the pilot event
The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum, the responsible business community, organised and launched a new informal discussion dubbed BBLF Fireside Chat. The special guest of the pilot edition of the initiative was Assen Vassilev, Minister of Finance.
The interactive working meeting gathered a distinguished audience of over 30 of the most active BBLF member companies who had the opportunity to discuss current issues concerning Bulgaria’s economic and social development.
The event held on 19 January at Hyatt Regency Pravets Resort was powered by diamond partner Alaric Securities.
The new Fireside Chat format aims to provide a unique opportunity for informal dialogue and interactive discussion on topics that directly affect the economy and business environment. It corresponds to BBLF’s aim of facilitating dialogue between the private sector and keypolicy makers on the major factors for this country's progress and prosperity in line with our vision of making Bulgaria a good place to invest, work and live in.
The first guest speaker of the BBLF Fireside Chat initiative was Assen Vassilev, Minister of Finance, who briefed the BBLFcommunity on the government's priorities, the current tasks facing the Ministry of Finance, the benefits and challenges of Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area and the Eurozone, to mention but a few.
Levon Hampartюoumian, BBLF President, opened the event and the discussion was moderated by Anton Panayotov, BBLF Vice President and Alaric Securities Founder and CEO.
Participants, owners and CEOs of over 30 of the most active BBLF member companies from nearly all sectors of the economy, had the exclusive opportunity to pose enquiries regarding relevant industries and get immediate replies from the Finance Minister.
The meeting continued with a fireside dinner in one of the restaurants at the Hyatt Regency Pravets Resort.
