New Edition of Meet the BBLF Success: Nestlé Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum held the fourth edition of the Meet the BBLF Success initiative on 31 March 2022 at Nestlé Bulgaria. We would like to thank our gracious hosts from the Sofia Factory, as well as our guests from the BBLF community, the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Switzerland in Sofia.

The fourth participant in the Forum initiative was Nestlé Bulgaria – a solid investor and manufacturer on the Bulgarian market and a responsible company that supports a number of important causes related to the development of Bulgarian society.

At the opening, BBLF Deputy Chair Anton Panayotov noted, "We started the Meet the BBLF Success series to get a closer look at the work and success of BBLF companies. This sharing of experiences on the one hand facilitates partnerships within our business community and on the other hand is a platform for multiplying good corporate practices, including responsibility towards employees, nature and society."

„On behalf of the Nestlé Bulgaria team, I would like to express our gratitude for the opportunity given to us by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum to share good business and production practices and achievements that we are proud of. In our 28-year history in Bulgaria, we have proven to be a responsible and stable investor in the country. The Sofia Factory is both a centre of expertise in Europe for the production of two global brands KitKat® and Smarties®, and has made significant achievements in terms of sustainable practices and digitalisation in recent years. We believe that the exchange of best practices in events such as Meet the BBLF Success would help accelerate business development and, respectively, the creation of value for society and nature," Peter Stoilov, CEO of Nestlé Bulgaria said in his address.

Nelly Angelova, SEM Communications Manager, presented Nestlé's numerous social commitments and initiatives in Bulgaria, while Nina Vitkova, Manager of Sofia Factory, presented the production lines and high quality standards.

The guests were also welcomed by the Ambassador of Switzerland H.E. Raimund Furer. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ambassador Ott Rolf, Bonnie Bonev, Chairman of the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and Vasil Radoynovski, Director of the Secretariat.

The participants had the opportunity to visit the fully automated production at Sofia Factory which manufactures the KitKat brand with help from production managers Hristo Tenev, Hristo Markov.

The meeting was attended by CEOs and top managers of BBLF member companies Transpress, Interlang, Alliance Print, Right Pack, NLP Bulgaria, Hyatt Regency, Park Lane Developments, Penkov, Markov & Partners, Lindström, Consejo as well as George Ruitchev, Executive Director of BFBL, Deputy Director Gabriela Marinova, and Albena Kolyacheva, Corporate Affairs Manager at Nestlé.

The visit took place in compliance with the current anti-epidemic measures as well as the safety and hygiene procedures on the production site, therefore the places were very limited.
