BBLF took part in the award ceremony of the Annual Responsible Business Awards of the Bulgarian Youth Business Leaders Forum (BYBLF). The event took place on 24 April 2015 in Plovdiv during the annual BYBLF meeting.
Just like BBLF’s Responsiblе Business Awards that in fact inspired them, the prizes distinguish the best CSR projects, only this time around they are developed by students in virtual enterprises.
Here are the winners of BYBLF 2015 winners:
1st prize – Future Investment Bank, National Trade and Banking High School, Sofia;
2nd prize – Cotton Candy, Professional High School of Economics and Tourism Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov, Petrich;
3rd prize – Power House, Agricultural Vocational High School Kliment Timiryazev , Sandanski.
Winners received their honours from BBLF executive director George Ruitchev. The jury comprised BBLF representatives and Bulgarian Virtual Enterprises Association as well as participants in the annual BYBLF meeting.
The event was part of the 18th international fair of virtual enterprises, or TF FEST 2015 that took place on 23-24 April 2015 in Plovdiv.
The virtual enterprises introduced in Bulgaria in 1994 are a form of practical professional training that enables school students to gain entrepreneurs skills and practice them in a virtual business environment. The network of the Bulgarian virtual enterprises comprises 334 virtual enterprises in 67 schools and 4 more in 2 universities in 55 towns and cities across the country. Their work is coordinated by the Centre for Virtual Business Training Firms (CVBTF) with the Ministry of Education and Science.
At the TF Fest in 2007 school students engaged in virtual enterprises together with BBLF and CVBTF founded the BYBLF. The mission of BYBLF is to promote contacts between youth business communities in schools nationwide as well as their contacts with businesses.
In 2010 BYBLF and CVBTF pooled their efforts in the CSR School Academy project encouraging CSR values in virtual business enterprises. The initiative won Best Scoial Policy in a Small or Medium Sized Enterprise award in BBLF’s 2010 Responsible Business Awards.
