BBLF took part in the award ceremony of the Annual Responsible Business Awards of the Bulgarian Youth Business Leaders Forum (BYBLF) on 25 April 2014 in Plovdiv.
Inspired by BBLF’s CSR awards the contest launched in 2010 and has since distinguished the best responsible projects of school students’s virtual businesses.
The grand prize in BYBLF’s fourth Annual Awards went to BioFuture, a project on fruit and vegetable processing and preservation developed by students from Asen Zlatarov High School in Shabla. Sport Sector, a sport shop of students at the K.Timizyarev Professional High School in Sandanski was ranked second. The third prize went to Emerald Bank of the students at the National Trade and Banking High School in Sofia. Prizes were handed by Georgi Ruitchev, BBLF Executive Director. The best virtual business projects were determined by BBLF, Bulgarian Virtual Business HQ and the participants in the BYBLF annual meeting.
The event was part of the 17th international virtual business companies, or training firms, fair, TF Fest 2014 on 24-25 April in Plovdiv.
BYBLF was founded in 2007 by school students engaged in virtual businesses that took part in the then edition of the fair. The idea came from the Centre for Virtual Business Training Firms (CVBTF) with the Ministry of Education and Science and was supported by BBLF. The mission of BYBLF is to promote contacts between youth business communities in schools nationwide and companies.
Three years later BYBLF and CVBTF pooled their efforts in a CSR School Academy project encouraging CSR values in virtual business initiatives. The initiative won Bets Scoial Policy in a Small or Medium Sized Enterprise award in BBLF’s Responsible Business Awards 2010.
