300 businessmen took part in the Fifth Business Leaders Olympics, which was held in the Anglo-American School of Sofia. The managers of some of the biggest companies in Bulgaria faced each other on the sports field, competing in 15 different Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines, including football, volleyball, tennis, chess, darts, backgammon, and many others.
For a fifth consecutive year the annual sports event of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum attracted companies like Devnya Cement, Postbank, Overgas, M3 Communications Group, Curtis/Balkan, TNT Bulgaria, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fairplay International, Radisson SAS and many others, who demonstrated competitive spirit and outstanding sportsmanship.
The Olympics football cup was won by the team of Corporation Development in an intensive game with the Postbank team. In the volleyball competition the unquestioned leaders were the representatives of Devnya Cement and left behind the teams of Corporation Development and Fairplay International respectively on second and third place. On the basketball field the Postbank team was the best, followed by the mixed team of Overgas and Forton International. Among the winners in the "quiet" sports was Velislava Kostadinova from Xerox in backgammon, Ventsislav Hadjibeev from Devnya Cement in chess, Adelina Djeneva from TNT in scrabble. The sports cup in tennis went to Kristian Ilev from the Irish Embassy and the table tennis one - to Kaloian Stoianov from Postbank. Andrey Manev from BNP Paribas was recognized as most punctual in the darts game and Yordan Dimov from Corporation Development - as most skillful in arm wrestling.
The participants in the Olympics had the chance to make their first salsa steps under the guidance of salsa vice winners for Bulgaria - Zahari Zahariev and Alexandrina Stoineva. Another pleasant surprise was provoked by the afternoon raffle, where more than 150 gifts were given by Allied Pickfords, TNT Bulgaria, Todoroff Winery, Radisson SAS, AIMS Human Capital, Overgas, Newspaper 24 chasa, Oriflame, Microsoft, Rubella, Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan, AVON Cosmetics, KLC Law Firm, Metropolitan Hotel, Ericsson, Evrokamion, AquaSource, Visa, Postbank.
The Fifth Business Leaders Olympics was organized with the general support of Devnya Cement and the financial sponsorship of BNP Paribas, Forton International, AstraZeneca, Eltrak Bulgaria and Postbank and with the support of Carlsberg, Karnobat Winery, Unitemp, Coca-Cola Bulgaria, Pain D'or and Danone. The Anglo-American School of Sofia was the kind host of the event.
Forth Business Leaders Olympics - Sofia'07
250 businessmen took part in the Fourth Business Leaders Olympics, which was held in the Anglo-American School of Sofia. The managers of some of the biggest companies in Bulgaria faced each other on the sports field, competing in 15 different Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines, including football, volleyball, tennis, chess, darts, backgammon, and many others.
For a fourth consecutive year the annual sports event of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum attracted companies like Overgas, Curtis/Balkan, Schenker, TNT, Siemens, Sofiyska Voda and many others, who demonstrated competitive spirit and outstanding sportsmanship.
The Olympics football cup was won by the team of Penkov, Markov & Partners in an intensive game with the Overgas team. In the volleyball competition the unquestioned leaders were the representatives of Siemens with its two teams that won the first and the third place. On the basketball field the mixed team of Siemens and Overgas was the best and left behind on second and third place the representatives of AG Capital and Forton International. Among the winners in the "quiet" sports was Kalinka Dimitrova from Schenker in backgammon, Stoyan Kuzmanov from Siemens in chess, Ivo Geshev from TNT in darts and Silvia Karadjova from Curtis/Balkan and Liubomir Georgiev in cards. The sports cup in badminton went to Liubomir Todorov from Corporation Development, while his colleague Svetlozar Panov was recognized as the best in the tennis tournament.

Another pleasant surprise was provoked by the afternoon raffle, where more than 100 gifts were given by Allied Pickfords, TNT, Todoroff Winery, Radisson SAS Grandhotel, Xerox, AIMS Human Capital, Overgas, Bulgarian Newspaper Group, Oriflame, Microsoft and Rubella. Third Business Leaders Olympics - Sofia'06
200 businessmen participated in the Third Business Leaders Olympics, which was held at the American College of Sofia. The managers of some of the biggest companies in Bulgaria faced each other on the sports field, competing in 16 different Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines, including football, volleyball, tennis, airgun shooting, chess, darts, backgammon, and many others.
The annual sport event of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum draw for the third consecutive time companies like Overgas, Curtis Balkan, Astra Zeneca, Ernst&Young, M3 Communications Group, Schenker, ProWave, Crown Agents, TNT, Kozloduy NPP, and many others, who demonstrated competitive spirit and outstanding sportsmanship.
The Olympics football cup was won by the joined team of Overgas and the American College of Sofia, who managed to defeat the professional team of Corporation "Development". The third place in the football tournament was taken by Schenker Bulgaria. The volleyball competition was won by the joined team RD (Radisson SAS-Development). The gold medals in the basketball were won by the Overgas team. In the "quiet" sports the winners were Ognyan Kozhuharov in backgammon, Svetlana Genova from "Kozloduy" NPP in the chess tournament, and Boyan and Yordan Boychevi. The latter won 1st place in the cards tournament and finished 2nd in the tennis (couples) competition. The only one, who dared appearing on the cycling track, was Dragomir Apostolov from ProWave Bulgaria.
ProWave's team was among the most distinguished at the Olympics - the director of the company Krassimir Ganchev took prizes in three disciplines: airgun shooting, arms wrestling, and family games.
The participants watched carefully the demonstration of the National Kendo team and made their first steps in salsa, under the guidance of dance club "Sredetz". Many of the winners will celebrate their triumph next weekend, when they will be guests of Hilton Sofia, Radisson SAS, Sheraton Sofia, and Medite Hotel in Sandanski - prizes from the big raffle, given personally by the Chairman of the Forum - Mr. Maxim Behar.
The Third Business Leaders Olympics was again held with the general sponsorship of the auditing company Ernst&Young, and with the support of PostBank, ADIS, Crown Agents, M3 Communications Group, Alcomet, Overgas, Sheraton Sofia, Danone, Bartlink OOD, Domaine Boyar, Pain D'Or, Zagorka AD, Coca-Cola, Allied Pickfords, TNT, Hilton, Kras Plus, ProWave, Kozloduy NPP, Boutique Wine Cellar Todoroff, and Ideal Standard Vidima.
Second Business Leaders Olympics - Ihtiman'05
Despite the pouring rain, some 150 BBLF members measured skills and strife in the Second Business Leaders Olympics, hosted again by Air Sofia Golf Club in Ihtiman.
For the second consecutive year general sponsor of BBLF's large scale sport event was AstraZeneca Bulgaria, while sponsors and supporters included Nokia Bulgaria, Intracom, Hilton Sofia, Allied Pickfords, Schenker Bulgaria, M3 Communications Group, Coca-Cola Bulgaria, Ideal Standard-Vidima, and Todoroff Wine Cellar.
Before the start of competitions, everyone gathered together to release six birds, saved from death and cured by BBLF Member Green Balkans Foundation.

In 2004, BBLF launched the first-ever initiative in Bulgaria that brought business together to the sole purpose of playing, chilling out, competing in totally non-business fields, and, basically, having fun.
