Another environmental initiative of Overgas helps for cleaner environment

December 16, 2011

The team of Overgas recycled 3.8 tons of paper from the beginning of 2011 and thus saved from logging more than 60 trees, which absorb around 400 kg of carbon dioxide and produce more than 7000 kg of oxygen per year.

Paper, glass, plastic and metal waste, recycled by the company, helped for more efficient use of natural resources and prevented environment pollution. Since the beginning of the initiative for waste collection in 2007 over 26 tons of paper have been delivered - one tone only saves nearly 4000 kWh and about 26 m3 of water.

Since the beginning of 2011 every employee of Overgas has reduced its usage of paper with around 17% compared with the same period of 2010 and with 29% compared to 2009. Collected and recycled quantities have also been decreased with 650 kg compared to the previous year.

The positive effect of this important initiative is a result of the responsible behaviour of Overgas employees to the environment. The company team calls to everyone to apply all these small gestures outside their working place, involving friends and family, because the clean environment is important for only for us today, but for the future generations.
