The General Meeting elected Iravan Hira deputy chairman and supported six senior executives as members of the Management Board
Levon Hampartzoumian is BBLF’s new chairman. He was elected at the General meeting at Grand Hotel Sofia on 30 May 2019. “I assume this high honour with responsibility and commitment to the Forum’s mission of generating ideas and projects to promote development, best practices and long-lasting positive change of the business environment and quality of life in this country“, he said. Levon Hampartzoumian (Penkov, Markov & Partners law firm) emphasised he is first among equals and will rely on the cooperation of all BBLF member companies.
The delegates also voted in favour of Iravan Hira (Hewlett Packard Enterprise operated by Selectium): after two successful mandates as head of the Forum he will now take up the role of deputy chairman. „BBLF has achieved a lot just because our member companies contribute to changing the economic and social environment for the better. The Forum is the best possible platform for our efforts to make Bulgaria a good place to work and live in”, he said.
Anton Panayotov (Alaric Securities) and Vladislav Mihov (Japan Tobacco International) are the newcomers to the BBLF Management Board. They will be replacing Maria Shishkova (AIMS Human Capital and Dale Carnegie Training Centre) and Irina Vasilevska (Telenor Bulgaria) who withdrew from the Board.
The meeting also renewed the mandates of Vesela Ilieva (Unique Estates), Kamelia Slaveykova (Shell Bulgaria), Karel Kral (CEZ) and Miroslav Petrov (Syscom Engineering).
The newly elects committed to encourage responsible business practices, lead the dialogue with all shareholders and promote business ethics standards and the activities of the Forum.
Senior managers from 34 member-companies took part in the meeting. Executive director George Ruitchev reviewed BBLF’s 2018 events and BBLF Controller Gilbert McCaul presented his 2018 report. Delegates approved of the 2018 financial reports and the 2019 programme activities.
The event also paid due respect to Maria Shishkova, managing partner of AIMS Human Capital and Dale Carnegie Training Centre and a long-term BBLF Board member with two mandates as chairperson and two more as deputy chairperson. She was awarded with a certificate of honour for her outstanding commitment to the growth and evolution of BBLF as a vital and reliable business community devoted to business ethics.
Currently, the BBLF Management Board includes also members Boriana Manolova (Siemens Bulgaria), Zoya Paunova (Astra Zeneca Bulgaria) and Petar Velev (Ecopharm).
