BBLF PROFILE BOOK
on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum is compiling a database, which profiles our members' activities in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility. We at BBLF believe that your activities and achievements in the area of CSR should be widely promoted. That is why we plan to publish a membership directory on the basis on the compiled database, which will be called RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS DIRECTORY. It will be widely promoted among the business, government representatives, the diplomatic sector, non-government organizations, and the academic community.
Why create a BBLF CSR Profile Book?
The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum promotes and strongly encourages the responsible, morally right behavior of business in our society. Creating a profile book would help us to better know how our members incorporate the principles of responsible business. The book itself will be an excellent resource of information for the wider public, as well as an accumulation of examples of model business behavior that could shape the Bulgarian business environment of tomorrow.
What is CSR?
The term "corporate social responsibility" (CSR) is used to name the attitude of ethically right business behavior and to describe a company's actions towards any sort of social improvement and communal benefit. The "CSR" notion is as much abstract as it is concrete. Its existence is revealed in anything from the shared company vision to the direct company action. The broad range of areas in which CSR is categorized include
- Involvement in the community
- Internal corporate culture
- Education and leadership development
- Corporate governance and business ethics
- Environmentally friendly business
Above all, corporate social responsibility is a philosophy that we at the BBLF believe every true business leader has to share.

The questionnaire filled by you will be very useful to us for selecting the nominees for BBLF Annual Awards Corporate Citizen of the Year, which will take place as part of the program for BBLF Fifth Anniversary.
