1. How does the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility correspond with the mission and heritage of your company?
• Bon Marine Agency performs its activities in a fair and a proper way, keeping up good manners with its partners and competitors.
• The Agency promotes the moral and ethical way of doing business.
• The Company provides Transport and Logistics solutions, which facilitate trading activity and help our customers materialize their deals.
• Bon Marine Agency does not have overdue payments.
• The Agency does care about its people, creating conditions which motivate them and keep them happy working in the Company.

2. What is your company's CSR involvement with the COMMUNITY?
Culture Involvement
• Book publishing: "Sailors notes", by Anton Prudkin, describing the author's marine experience and the development of Bulgarian commercial shipping in the beginning of the 20th century;
• Architectural preservation - Bon Marine purchased the ruins of a building from the Ottoman Empire period, dated 1860, and restored it into an office building, preserving it as an architectural monument;
• Co-founding the Museum of Commercial Shipping, which presents the history of Bulgarian merchant shipping;
• A documentary "Galata I Project", describing the development of a gas field in the Bulgarian Black sea shelf.

Charity
• Financial aid to Karin Dom - Centre for Children with Special needs, Varna;
• Financial aid to the Naval Academy, Varna;
• Patronizing artists;
• Sponsoring the State Travelling Theatre;
• Sponsoring an international championship of rhythmic gymnastics in Varna, and other sport events;
• Aiding the development of wind surfing in Bulgaria;
• Enhancing the local area by building a small park with children's facilities and benches.

3. What is your company's CSR involvement with the ENVIRONMENT?
Environmental Institutional Practices
• Energy, Water and Resource conversion
Bon Marine Shipping Agency works towards securing efficient use of water, energy and other resources in all areas. The office buildings are constructed in a way that allows maximum daylight in and contributes to the energy saving policy. The Agency constantly researches and develops its resource saving policies, as part of its environmental commitment.

• Waste Management
Bon Marine Shipping Agency works to minimize waste generation through second hand print paper use policy and non-confidential paper recycling.


4. What is your company's CSR attitude towards your EMPLOYEES?
The Company's social responsibility towards its employees is manifested through activities that secure new job openings, normal working conditions and high working standards. Other activities also include:
• Internal training, seminars and parties organized on a regular basis;
• Planned employee training and career development;
• Review and evaluation of needs and activities;
• Involving employees in the Company development by stimulating their creative thinking;
• Developing and launching a new software for internal use, facilitating operational activities;
• Keeping low levels of employee turnover, by providing competitive work conditions and increased benefits for long-term employees;
• Healthcare subscription policy;
• Open doors policy.

5. What is your company's CSR involvement with YOUNG PEOPLE and EDUCATION?
Bon Marine Shipping Agency works with student and job placement organisations (AIESEC, Jobtiger, etc) and participates in Career Days Projects, providing summer internships and full positions to students and young graduates, thus stimulating the development of Bulgaria's young professionals.
The Company participated in the 'Careers 2004‘ Forum, under the 'Bulgarian Dream‘ Programme, organised by the Bulgarian Ministry of the Economy, and was a preferred employer in the region, considering the large number of job applications.
The Company helps the cadets from the Naval Academy to have their sea practice on board of the vessels under Bon Marine's management, free of charge.

6. What is your company's practice of BUSINESS ETHICS?
People at Bon Marine Shipping Agency believe that ethics is fundamental to their approach of doing business. In association with the BBLF, all of employees have accepted the BBLF Business Ethics Standard that governs the Company's relationships with clients, colleagues and the local community.
