1. How does the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility correspond with the mission and heritage of your company?
The corporate mission of Development is orientated mostly to increasing the market value of the company’s shares and respectively the wealth of its shareholders. This narrow orientation has been demanded by the 15-year ongoing process of a complex transformation from a planned economy to a free-market economy. However, during the last few years we have seen an opportunity for expanding our corporate mission with a great number of goals, most of which part of CSR concept. Processes such as development of local community, education, building business leaders’ skills, and alike, are of key importance to us.

2. What is your company's CSR involvement with the COMMUNITY?
The enterprises, property of Corporation Development, regularly organize local educational and training courses for young people. A good example is the hosiery enterprise in the city of Gabrovo. On the other hand the textile enterprise in Stara Zagora has employed youths from ‘Bulgarka’ orphanage.

3. What is your company's CSR involvement with the ENVIRONMENT?
The investment process in Development’s textile enterprises is continuous, aiming at higher standards and environmental protection. The production covers all environmental requirements and norms completely.


4. What is your company's CSR attitude towards your EMPLOYEES?
Corporation Development employs about 1,000 people altogether. The working environment within the Corporation is favourable both for team and sole players. We spend money on different qualification courses, train and guide our employees in their personal development.

5. What is your company's CSR involvement with YOUNG PEOPLE and EDUCATION?
We offer internships and entry-level positions to young people, mainly in our media – the Internet sites topsport.bg, news.bg, finance.news.bg and the Topsport, newspaper. Our most experienced employees are those who train the newly employed.

6. What is your company's practice of BUSINESS ETHICS?
We have adopted BBLF’s Business Ethics Rules and have been working on their development, in order to apply them to our corporate culture and beliefs.
