1. How does the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility correspond with the mission and heritage of your company?
The philosophy of Overgas Inc. AD is to work for the public interest. This is the
mission of our core activity: to make ecologically clean and highly efficient fuel
accessible to people by household gasification. We assume as an exclusively important
task the need to provide people with the opportunity to choose the kind of energy they
would like to use. Bulgaria’s gasification project could become a good example of
successful public – private partnership.
Our company’s accompanying missions reflect the concept that the path leading to
development and prosperity of Bulgaria goes in hand with keeping the environmet clean,
maintaining a high level of education and physical health of the people as well as of
recognizing the need to preserve and promote the intellectual and cultural values of the
nation.

2. What is your company's CSR involvement with the COMMUNITY?
The philosophy of Overgas Inc. AD is to work for the public interest. This is the
mission of our core activity: to make ecologically clean and highly efficient fuel
accessible to people by household gasification. We assume as an exclusively important
task the need to provide people with the opportunity to choose the kind of energy they
would like to use. Bulgaria’s gasification project could become a good example of
successful public – private partnership.
Our company’s accompanying missions reflect the concept that the path leading to
development and prosperity of Bulgaria goes in hand with keeping the environmet clean,
maintaining a high level of education and physical health of the people as well as of
recognizing the need to preserve and promote the intellectual and cultural values of the
nation.
The “Bulgarian School” project is a programme of Overgas Inc. AD that is being implemented across the country. The company works with board of trustees of schools and cultural centres since they are the social and intellectual capital of every Bulgarian city.
The philosophy of the company is that the problems of culture could be solved given the provision of three compulsory elements: state policy, quality products at market prices and solvent demand for those products. That is why, for a second year in a row, Overgas Inc. Ad is major sponsor of the Askeer Theatre Awards that have been institutionalized not only in the theatrical circles, but in society as well.
During its history of more than 13 years, Overgas has assisted the publication of dozens of volumes of Bulgarian fiction, historical and biographical literature. Large quantities of these publications have been granted to cultural centres and schools in Bulgaria.
Sponsoring the Bulgarian Orthodox Church is assumed as a support to Bulgarian culture and identity. As of today, dozens of churches and temples in Bulgarian cities, including the edifice of the Exarchate in Istanbul, have been connected to the gas grid, free of charge. At the same time, the company has been assisting other religious communities in the country like the connection to the grid of the catholic temple in Yambol.
Overgas is the main sponsor of the Yambolgas Basketball Team, champion of Bulgaria in 2001 – 2002, as well as of CSKA Basketball Team. The idea that guides the company is that supporting Bulgarian sport equals supporting the upbringing of more young and talented Bulgarians. That us why the efforts of Overgas are directed not so much to improving the performance of men’s teams as to forming competitors from an early age. As a result, in the autumn of 2003 the company initiated the Overgas – Basketball project. Its final aim is to establish children’s basketball training in schools in all cities where the company has offices.


3. What is your company's CSR involvement with the ENVIRONMENT?
The Overgas project called “Let us keep Bulgaria clean for us and our children” was initiated in 2000. The aim of the project is to assist the forestation of forests parched by wild fires. The company’s objectives in doing so has been to improve the ecological situation in Bulgaria on the one hand, drawing public attention to the problems that Bulgarian forests face, and last but not least, breeding in children affection and care for nature. Students of different schools across the country have been taking part in Overgas’ project.


4. What is your company's CSR attitude towards your EMPLOYEES?
Overgas Inc. AD encourages the drive of its employees to advance their professional qualification by organizing different training courses and financing the acquisition of higher degrees of university education.
The company implements a social policy that includes issues concerning the further enhancement of the employees’ well-being as well as the improvement of working conditions.



5. What is your company's CSR involvement with YOUNG PEOPLE and EDUCATION?
The most relevant project in this sphere is the establishment of the Young Bulgaria Foundation through which Overgas Inc. AD is implementing its idea to impose a higher standard of preschool and primary school education as envisaged in its “Bulgarian School” project. Further, the company has been implementing scholarship and trainee programmes through which 36 young Bulgarians have graduated prestigeous universities around the world.
Currently, the Russian Technical University project in Yambol is in process of implementation.


6. What is your company's practice of BUSINESS ETHICS?
The strict business ethics rules established at Overgas are part of our corporate policy. They create the conditions for presenting and defending the company’s interests, while at the same time they provide for efficient cooperation with potential partners. Furthermore, they also create conditions for enhanced loyalty to the company, teamwork, professional and career advancement, timely and precise execution of the assignments.
