CSR PROFILE BOOK Questionnaire 1. How does the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility correspond with the mission and heritage of your company? - CSR CATEGORIES 2. What is your company's CSR involvement with the COMMUNITY? - Donation in favour of D.O.M.E. (Democratic Organization of Education and Culture); - Donation in favour of the Association of Greek women in Sofia – February 2002; - Sponsorship of the “Bulgaria in Europe” Conference – July 2002; - Sponsorship of the children’s performances in the Theatre for Children category at the Europalia – Bulgaria 2002 Festival, held in Brussels, Belgium, September 14th 2002 – January 25th 2003; - Business Forum “Reality in Bulgaria and the Perspectives for 2004” – Thessaloniki, April 8th 2003; - Sponsorship of the 3rd Conference on the Public Broadcasters from the “Black Sea Economic Cooperation” – Varna, September 2003; - Sponsorship of the publishing of two books written by the famous Greek poets and Nobel Prize Winners Odysseas Elytis and Georgios Seferis by a team of Bulgarian authors and translators, and opening of Stephan Gechev Hall of the Embassy of Greece; - Supporting the initiative undertaken by the International Women’s Club – Sofia in the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for a concert on October 23rd 2003. 3. What is your company's CSR involvement with the ENVIRONMENT? - 4. What is your company's CSR attitude towards your EMPLOYEES? - Stimulating our employees with additional remunerations for Easter, Christmas and summer holidays; - Organizing a two-day Christmas party in one of the winter resorts in Bulgaria; - Providing annual subscription to Biocheck (care for employees’ health); - Sending employees to various courses abroad, thus investing in their further development and professional expertise. 5. What is your company's CSR involvement with YOUNG PEOPLE and EDUCATION? - Participation in Career Advice Project launched by BBLF with a presentation and being one of the sponsors of the event – May 2003; - Junior Achievement Bulgaria Programme “Young Entrepreneurial Spirit” launched by USAID to the benefit of young Bulgarian high school students – June 2003; - Awarding Master Degree at Harvard University – The Kokkalis Foundation; - Sponsorship of the Essay Competition 2001, organized by the Embassy of Greece and Sofia University for students from Bulgarian institutions for higher education on the subject “Is it useful for the young people from the countries in South-East Europe to study the language and get acquainted with the culture and way of life of their neighbours?”, as well as of the publishing of “Messages from the Future” – a collection of selected works (The Kokkalis Foundation) - Organizing meetings with Deans and Rectors of Sofia University (Mathematics Department), University of National and World Economy (IT Department) and Technical University aiming to find successful candidates among IT students who could get a Master of Science in Information Networking at the Athens Information Technology Research Center established by Intracom Group of companies in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University. The result - one Bulgarian student started to study in AIT for the academic 2003 – 2004 year. 6. What is your company's practice of BUSINESS ETHICS? - Adoption of BBLF Code of Ethics, trying to comply with the morally right and responsible principles of business ethics, maintaining correct relationships with all our business partners, subcontractors, clients, competitors, etc. Download file |
