1. How does the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility correspond with the mission and heritage of your company?
BAEZ was created with the purpose of stimulating the development of export and trade in Bulgaria, by offering Bulgarian companies financial loss protection through mechanisms of export insurance. Thus, BAEZ aids the development of Bulgarian companies and helps improve their competitiveness, which leads to an increase in employment. Through its activity, the Agency contributes to the development of large, as well as small and middle businesses. Currently, BAEZ is researching the expedience of introducing a special small and middle business policy. Its characteristics will be the easier procedure of contracting and administrating, as well as the lower insurance price.

We at BAEZ believe that people are the most valuable recourse for each company, and their professionalism is the most important factor for providing the client with satisfactory services of high quality.
To that purpose, BAEZ constantly invests in improving its employee qualifications. We at BAEZ constantly enhance our expertise and share our experience with similar export insurance enterprises in the countries of the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe, and Japan. We take part in specialized courses, trainings and seminars in Bulgaria, which increase our professional expertise and provide us with valuable professional assets.
BAEZ hosts monthly and weekly meetings to discuss different problems and opportunities for further development.
Once a year, BAEZ hosts teambuilding practices as well.
5. What is your company's CSR involvement with YOUNG PEOPLE and EDUCATION?
BAEZ is open to all young and knowledgeable people. It is directed at using their creative potential. Part of the BAEZ staff have started their work here right out of university.
Here at BAEZ, we have the practice of welcoming Bulgarian and international students as interns, especially in the summer. We work closely with AIESEC. We have had interns from the University of National and World Economy, as well as from the Svishtov Academy of Economics. Part of them continued their career at BAEZ in our ‘Insurance', ‘Risk Evaluation', and ‘Information Technologies' departments.
In May 2003, Mr. Alexander Hristov, head of the Marketing and PR department at BAEZ, took part as a lector in the ‘Finance, Audit and Insurance' seminar, part of the ‘How to make a successful career in Bulgaria' project, organized by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. He presented the students from the University of National and World Economy with the Agency's activities and the opportunities it offers for professional realization. Mr. Hristov has presented the advantages of working at BAEZ to students from the Sofia and New Bulgarian universities as well.
6. What is your company's practice of BUSINESS ETHICS?
BAEZ fully abides by and observes the principles of business ethics in its everyday activities. The Agency
Follows an open and transparent policy; it strives to build confidence in its clients and contributes to the development of trade and economy in general.
We believe that socially responsible corporate behaviour in today's reality is not only a vitally important factor for building trust among the public and the institutions, but also a prerequisite for successful business. In today's dynamic world, it is the companies offering their clients the most relevant products and acting as good corporate citizens that have the greatest advantage.
BAEZ is a grantee of BBLF's Business Ethics Standard Certificate.
